Super happy with my purchase. The episodes works in my ps3 so I'm doubly fortunately. Very good animated series. I have taken the versions legal download on the platform Wakanim. this box is what I search for. Of course it is expensive, but there was on the part of the editor a desire to provide a quality item. Here we have the first 12 episodes, but there are versions BR and DvD, a bonus DVD, a booklet and cards mailing when we see certain versions-or we have only 4 episodes for the same price. Yes it is expensive may be that the editor would have come up with two pacquages, a single and another collector. After having known the manga of the original I can only say NO.. How could a movie during 1h30mn can be also full, and full of suspense than the original series for more than 45h? It is impossible.. If the 1-star may seem a little harsh it was at the height of the disappointment.... For the quality of the video and the special effects 5 stars will be adapted... Still a movie that doesn't clutter up my BDthéque.. We had expected it for so long... first, Disney had planned a simple output in English with French subtitles, but after a few cries of anger (probably ^^) fans, here is the French dubbing seen advertised... He is so taking it from the beginning to the end! A very beautiful story even if it is quite sad by the time. A film to discover or rediscover!! It will be part of my collection very soon.. Very very looonnngguue story not to tell... I'm disappointed pure anime japanese. Piece of collection, that is all. After all this time to watch for the release of this movie... That's another great feature film of Ghibli. The story tends to be simple but so well constructed, the characters endearing, BO super! A must see! It is on this sentence said by a boy of fifteen years, that everything begins. A long silence follows. The tone is set. The games, the strength and innocence of Setsuko, the little girl with her big brother, all 2 are immersed in the atrocity of war and facing a very sad human nature... The magic that exudes spirited away is a moving, surprising, funny, and this initiatory journey of a little girl is not weighed down by a great big moral lesson as there are both elsewhere. In 1532, in Barcelona, Esteban, an orphan of twelve years who seems to be able to call the Sun, accepts the offer of a mysterious sailor, Mendoza, onward to the New World in order to discover the legendary Cities of gold. It agrees, expressing the hope to find her father, disappeared in a shipwreck twelve years ago... during this trip, the young boy befriends Zia, a young Inca, and Tao, the last descendant of the people of Mu, inhabiting the Galapagos islands. Esteban and Zia discover that they each possess a pendant, the medallions of the sun, supposed to be the key of the Mysterious Cities of gold they will seek throughout the story. It also teaches them a common quest, to find their father's respective whose fates are linked to the Cities of gold. They will discover Solaris, the powerful nave solar cult-the empire of Mu, that will have to sacrifice Tao, and then the great condor, a huge bird flying in solid gold which will allow them to travel to south and central America. Each episode is followed by a mini-documentary (live action) on the pre-columbian culture, giving an insight to historical and geographical context of the fiction. The timbre is warm and immediately identifiable by Jean Topart, who lends her voice to the feedback, has contributed to the fascination that has carried the series. This integral is really successful, even if we regret a little the lack of bonus, but the content is very widely itself!!! A treat, without a doubt, the best cartoon ever made! This series is really topissime and should never stop! The characters are always so endearing! And these new editions with the books are really too nice! Kikki, this is the story of adolescence, of research and of self-assertion... The fact that the heroine is a witch does not matter so much that this is the key "wonderful" added by Miyazaki, and that takes nothing away from the charm of the film, quite the contrary. As usual, the characters are exciting and endearing. They all have a depth, a complexity, that make the richness of the film. There is a lot of humor and tenderness too. And then this is a film for all ages - this is not the case of all the films of Miyazaki - for example, my 4 year old daughter loves it (much to the cat). As for the drawings... what can I say...
